Hi I’m Loan. I am not your typical Project Manager and Interior Designer!
I have a Masters Degree in business and worked for 7 years as a finance analyst for Unilever in the UK and Ireland. To do something different and creative in my spare time, I took up evening classes at college in Interior Design. With time the desire grew to bring my project and financial management expertise into a more creative field – a job that used my skills but also expressed my creativity and fulfilled my passion for design!
Personal Experience
My first project was my own home, a newly purchased Victorian property in central London which was completely run-down and in need of urgent modernising. After managing a team of 10 builders, supervising wall removals, ceilings lifts, pipe reconfigurations, tiling and re-flooring, the property was transformed.
The project was such a success, that I immediately had new clients asking me to help them transform their own investment properties and homes. So I quit my old job, completed more courses at CSM UAL, KCC, Citylit, founded home-refurbishments.co.uk in 2013 and began managing refurbishment projects full time.
Before I knew it, I was immersed in a new career, managing my own team of trusted and experienced workmen, doing what I am passionate about, and making other people happy.
